I make things. The category keeps changing. This page is a small pixel-art game; read my story is the text version.

I'm Jackson Lang. First-year Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto, Trinity College.

I make things. The category keeps changing: a campus app, an AI fridge, a TEDx event, short films, a workshop full of agents.

Right now most of my time goes to Armin. I am looking for early-stage product teams and founder programs.

Projects

  • Armin (Fall 2026 - now) A Chrome extension for Canvas: organizes your courses and adds study tools grounded in your own course material. Live in the Chrome Web Store. Co-founded with Alfred Liu and Matin Mahmoud. Matin leads core engineering; I lead most of the product, business and growth work. getarmin.comChrome Web Store
  • tPortal (Sept 2026) Built in my first week at the University of Toronto: deadlines, timetable and campus events out of Quercus and ACORN, on one screen. Eleven releases in six days, more than 50 beta users, more than 40,000 impressions on the launch posts. It evolved into Armin. tportal.caLive demo
  • Basil Home AI (2024 - 2026) Co-founded with two friends in high school: an AI kitchen assistant using imaging and voice. Prototypes, pitches, an industrial designer; wound down in 2026. First place and $3,000 at SPRINT; second place and the $500 Sponsor's Choice at TYSIC. basilhome.ca
  • TEDxUCC Youth (Sept 2024 - May 2026) Co-founded and led UCC's first TEDx with Porter Riopelle: the licence, the speakers and their coaching, marketing, sponsors, show day with the tech crew. Seven speakers to a full house. The organization ran for two school years.
  • Student films (High school) Directing, editing and cinematography on student short films. Thank You for Loving Film screened at TIFF for the IB Film Festival; also Therapy Session (directed), Reconstruction - Contact and Action - Bill (edited), Keep Talking (cinematography).
  • Night Shift (2026 - now) My experiment in directing autonomous AI agents to build software. I set the brief and judge what is useful; agents do much of the implementation. Results so far: First Dig (a small public app on two Toronto open-data feeds), BrawlCoach (an AI coach trained on Brawl Stars gameplay: tips and account-growth plans), Roblox development and other experiments.
